made a huge batch with bakewell toppings on them for a clan gathering today which has now been cancelled due to sickness. If I stick them in the freezer do they go soggy on thawing?

No they won't go soggy - pastry freezes and reheats brilliantly. I always freeze mince pies in lots of 12 and then take a bag out every couple of days. Once defrosted they can be warmed through in an over for 5-10 mins if preferred, or eaten at room temp.

Brilliant - thanks. I thought they did but was worried that the bakewell topping might spoil as its crispy at the moment and makes them taste scrummy
