What to serve with ham on christmas day?

I am hosting christmas dinner for the first time in our new house and we are still in a bit of a state re unpacking.

I am planning to do a ham as our meat and want to do as much prep as I can in advance (doesn't everyone?!). I was not planning roast potatoes, but thought about mash, roasted carrots, spiced cabbage and roast apples (in with the ham). I feel like I am missing something though. What would you serve with ham on christmas day?

A white onion sauce, also roast potatoes and/or parsnips. If you are already doing roast carrots, why not add a few potatoes in to the pan. If you are already having mash, you don't need many.

Thanks got the suggestions. Will do some white onion sauce and dauphinoise is a good idea too.

I'll do a couple of sauces/relishes too.

I suspect my MIL wont be too impressed with no turkey, but ho hum!
