another slow cooker question!

I've had my slow cooker for about 2 years. Very soon after I got it the glaze started to "crack", nothing you can feel with your nail so I don't think it's a health hazard.
Is this common or is it something I'm doing wrong? I never put it in cold water when it's hot. I noticed the same thing seems to have happened to my friend's slow cooker also.

it's just the glaze that's kind of crackled (like crazy paving). What does everyone else's ceramic pot look like - are they all crackled or is it mine faulty?
