anyone tried them?

I'm cooking for 20 on Christmas day and this could save me a serious amount of peeling time, but is it a bit risky??

My Ocado shopping is due for delivery on 23rd so would they spoil by 25th?

Haven't tried them, but Waitrose standard Maris Pipers (prob same suppliers) have been awful this season IMO - watery and flavorless.

Isn't peeling spuds what children are invented for? Buy a couple of extra peelers and enlist some helpers.

ooh, that's interesting. Maybe I'll go for King Edwards then (for roasters).

and yes, extra peelers sounds like a good idea.

And it's nice preparing food together, instead of one person stuck in the kitchen frantically peeling spuds. One of my happiest memories is of bashing crab claws with a bunch of pals and bottle of wine round a big kitchen table.

Ive used peeled potatoes before but I didnt like them, there was some sort of coating on them, probably to stop them going brown.

You could buy lots of ready made mash potato and then do a couple of roasters for each person. If you get four pieces of roast from each potato thats only 20 potatoes.
