Has anyone made Lorraine Pascale's Chilli Jam?

What's it like? I tried her Chocolate Fudge at the weekend and am not mega-impressed. The jam sounds lovely but would rather not waste time and money making it if it isn't nice!

I haven't, but someone recommended Nigella's chilli jam on here the other day & I was going to try that.

chilli jam

Thanks Bagel - looks a lovely recipe and probably much hotter than LP's.

I didn't rate her fudge either

I didn't rate her fudge either

I made Nigella's a couple of weeks ago. You really do need all the chillis she says, but it was dead easy, the consistency is absolutely perfect and it's a lovely vibrant colour.

I made Nigella's chilli jam very easy and a little goes a long way I made it last Christmas and made about four jars worth - have just got a little left . I am planning to make Tamasin Day-Lewis's tomato and chilli jam this week looks very yummy.

Millie1 · 13/12/2011 11:31

Oh do you have a link to that recipe please Harlot? Thanks

Millie - probably too late now but which recipe? The Tamasin one is lovely btw! Makes two jars

redrubyshoes · 05/01/2012 11:34

I made chilli and coriander jam from a recipe I found online and it was fab - made 12 small jars and I seemed to use it in anything and everything.

Can't comment on the Lorriane Pascal one but the coriander was a nice twist to it.

jumpingjackhash · 05/01/2012 11:40

Not made the jam but I got a couple of her books for Christmas and have tried a couple of things - both went wrong (despite religiously following the recipes!) so I'm not v impressed with Lorraine just now!

Stick with Nigella's - she's a goddess imo.

Harlot - sorry, haven't been on Recipes in ages! The Tamsin Day Lewis recipe - how did it turn out?

Jumpingjack - not impressed either! I've only tried sweets so far, peppermint creams and fudge. Wouldn't rate either. Yes, Nigella for me too and find myself turning to Delia also.

Millie - Tamasin's recipe was really good - I prefer it to Nigella's chilli jam which I made last year. Do you want the recipe?
