I'm baking my son a birthday cake, only problem is he would like a Red Dead Redemption (it's an xbox 360 game- think cowboys) cake. I've left it way too late to order one, and wondered if you can buy food colouring pens/roll on icing kits on the high street? I can draw, but honestly,if any of you have come across this sort of product I'd be really grateful if you could let me know! Hopeful thanks in advance folks!

yes, you can buy edible felt tips from cake decorating shops, and maybe some supermarkets - supercook do a set of 4 here.

you could buy a ready iced cake, am pretty sure MandS do some for example, and some paste food colours, and paint on the cake with the pastes, diluting the pastes with either vodka or any clear spirit - most of the alcohol evaporates, and you use very little.

If you search on the web, lots of companies do cake toppers in all kinds of styles and characters. Worth a look.

I might be a bit late on this, but you can take a picture into most Asdas and they'll print it onto a cake for you.
