Cooking show invite - anyone know this one?

Have been invited to a Pampered Chef party - be nice to get to know some new faces in my area but concerned I'll feel pressured to spend a lot. Anyone know this company?

I noticed they sold bamboo stuff which is sustainable and looks good.

Not been to anything like this before but keen to support a (very) small business but in no position to spend very much.

My friend does it & i was at a party last week. It's good stuff & some good ideas amongst it but v v expensive.

I went to one a couple of weeks ago, the stuff is lovely but v v expensive. It is a huge american company, but the demonstrators are on commission. The lady that did the one I went to told me they don't have sales targets, and she was not putting pressure on anyone to buy. I did buy some stuff though, and I'm really pleased with it.
