Homemade cranberry sauce freezing help

VickityBoo · 08/12/2011 19:00

Im making cranberry sauce - I purchased the fresh fruit and froze it straight away.

Can I freeze the final product? It will contain the cranberries, sugar, port and clementines.

Thanks!

yes, it'll be fine. It'd probably last well in sealed jars too, like a jam. I eep mine for aaaaaaaaaages in the fridge.

I am jarring it. So I could get away with just having it in the fridge for 3 weeks give or take?

I guess you are going to boil the sauce when you make it?

Just get some old jam jars wash and sterilise them and the lids in the dishwasher and while they and the sauce are still very hot fill the jars and put the lids on tight. They should be sterile but keep in the fridge anyway.

Thank you - yep I'll be boiling then to start it all off. I've never made it before (can you tell? Blush)

Our dishwasher isn't working so I'll be putting them in the oven following instructions. :)

It's all jarred. I won't freeze it then. I've covered in film then the lid to make extra sure.
