Storing home made bread crumbs

Prepping things for going back to work to cut down prep time so chopping and freezing onions etc can I store home made bread crumbs?

You can freeze them- I bung a load in a Tupperware container, or ziplock bag and then just scoop out whenever I need them. You don't need to defrost them. Can freeze chopped onions too.

Agree with a bag in the freezer. V satisfying to make a batch and have ready.

If they are dried breadcrumbs, just in an airtight jar.

I grate heels of bread in the food processor, keep the crumbs in a lock-lock box in the fridge, use and top up as needed. They seem to last forever.

Favourite recent uses - cut a log of goat's cheese into rounds, dip in a beaten egg and then into the breadcrumbs, fry in a little oil till golden - best way to turn a salad into a meal. Also mix with sausagemeat, onions, chestnuts and thyme and stuff into field mushrooms.
