Christmas baking with children at school.. . ideas please!

I'm baking with 4 Y1 children, to make something for the class (18). We have less than an hour to do the whole thing. Another group are already doing cookies, I am a complete failure at cup cakes, simply incapable. So other than cookies or cupcakes, what else can we easily knock up "guaranteed to work" in under an hour working with four 5 year olds that might just be edible and a touch festive?!?

TIA!

PS. I am utterly RUBBISH at baking, so it does need to be foolproof!

Delia's gingerbread biscuits are pretty much foolproof and quick to make - is that too like cookies?

Mincemeat pinwheels - storebought puff pastry, storebought mincemeat!

Unfortunately I think the cookies the other person is doing are gingerbread already, otherwise, I'd have been in there like a shot as they are one thing I can actually make!

Pinwheels - what a great idea. I've saved the recipe.. hoorah, can relax now.

Thanks so much to you both.
