Pudding ideas much appreciated...

I'm going to be making a pudding for Saturday evening, but ideally would like to get it made when I have some time off on Thursday. So any ideas for tasty puddings that either freeze well or that would be okay (not necessarily in a fridge as we'll have a house full of folk, but in outside porch which will be chilly enough!) would be very very much appreciated.
Thanks

pavlova - do meringue on thurs and then assemble on the sat. how posh does it have to be? you could do the fruit and crumble mix and freeze and then defrost on the day.

or you could do eton mess, or icecream sundae, or trifle, posh icecream. blackforest gateaux (sorry showing my age!!)

sticky toffee pudding

Not posh at all, just a family affair - thanks for your ideas. Made sticky toffee pudding last time and it went down very well, would just do it again but feel I should try something different. Like trifle idea... or maybe just chickening out of pavlova Smile

pavlova is dead easy. i had frozen fruit mix from sainsburys and mixed some sieved icing sugar in and served that along side. if anything went wrong you could make it into eton mess

Like your thinking.... though my confidence levels tell me I may as well just admit from the start that I am making eton mess!
