Healthy lunchbox ideas...

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm needing inspiration for DD's school packed lunch.

She started school in September and is 5 in January but seems to be extremely hungry at the moment and always comes home behaving like a monster starving! Today she has ham sandwiches (1round of bread), some mini garlic bread things (that I got for her to try), a tube of yoghurt, a homemade cherry fairy cake and some yoghurt-coated raisins. She will probably eat all of that unless she runs out of time.

I'm getting bored of giving her the same kind of stuff and want to make sure it is filling but fairly healthy. Can you share what you send your children to school with to give me some inspiration please?

TIA

different things we've tried lately:

rice balls with different fillings (google onigiri)
pasties
cold pasta salad (ds1 likes it with tuna and sweetcorn and mayo)
breadsticks and humous/cream cheese

he also pretty much always takes:
cucumber, tomatoes, red pepper and olives
piece of fruit
yoghurt

sometimes also a cake, packet of crisps or some cookies

Thank you thisisyesterday

I've never made rice balls but will have a look at those.

She loves olives so they would be good with some tomatoes, peppers and cucumber. She's not keen on cream cheese or hummous (?sp) but would eat the breadsticks. She usually has a piece of fruit - banana or tangerine.

I haven't tried her with pasta salad but I always make too much pasta so that would be one to try too.
