Bought cream to make it and now discovered you don't make it with cream. Do you think I could make it with cream it's for dd who is 6months.

I make mine with cream and milk. Who says you can't make it with cream?

Do you mean a baby can't eat cream, rather than the rice pudding can't be made with cream? Smile

You can make it with cream but it would be very rich and would need more liquid too I think. Personally I would make it with milk and put a bit of cream in. (say 3/4 milk and 1/4 cream). A 6 month old can eat cream but in modest amounts I would say. :)

wrt using the rest of the cream, make or buy a yummy apple pie or crumble for yourself. :)

Yes, 1.5 pints of milk and 0.5 pint cream, 100g pudding rice, as much sugar as you like and few drops vanilla essence. That's my recipe.

ScaryFairy28 · 22/11/2011 16:31

Could I freeze it after cooking it?

I suppose you could but the rice pud in hour house goes very quickly indeed!

Nigel Slater's recipe in his fast desserts book is with cream and is gorgeous.
