Another breadmaker question (sorry)

Have been making my own bread and it's being going ok. The only thing is it does seem to go off very quickly and 2 it's quite hard.
Any tips please for what I may be doing wrong.

Homemade bread does go off quicker because the lack of preservatives. Wrap it up and put it in an airtight container is the only answer - you can freeze it aswell. Is it quite hard when it's first cooked? If so it sounds like you need more liquid.
