I'm thinking of making this cake: www.nigella.com/recipes/view/best-birthday-cake-118 for DC1's birthday party. Nigella says it serves 12, but I was planning to cut in into squares rather than slices (if that makes sense) and wondered if anyone knew how many pieces that would get me, and if the cake is robust enough to do that.
