Sometimes it goes brown. I've thrown many away that look like that but my mum assures me thats its fine. She's still here, I'm still here and no official signs of madness yet!

Brown is fine. Dunno about the smell. I'm twitchy about frozen meat, so always am cautious.

Marsy let it out of the bag didn't she? Is it dark brown? TBH the smell would worry me more than the colour. I assume from your last post that you bought it fresh and froze it.
