Hello,

I'm not brilliant in the kitchen (but i am trying Grin). Ds and i are making normal buns, and i wondered if i could make chocolate ones, i know you can add cocoa, but all i have is cadburys drinking chocolate, would that work? And if so, how much should i use?

Thank you.

Drinking chocolate not advisable as tends to come out a bit insipid tasting. Also some have anticaking additives and other stuff in.

When/if you buy cocoa make sure it says 'Dutch Process' on the tin as this makes the best chocolate flavour. I often break up dark choc into bits and stir them in or use 70% dark choc, 30% milk.

Thank you. Good job i asked first. Ds is sitting down, hands washed, all ready to start Grin We'll just melt some chocolate on the top today then, till i get some cocoa.

Thanks again.

Yum. If you ever want some new recipes I'd love to offer. Know my thousands of cookbooks will come in handy one day!
I have some good baking book recommendations too if anybody is interested. I collect American baking books which are particularly fun.
