Question about batch cooking.

I am batch cooking various things before the arrival of DC3 before Christmas.

Am making moussaka which I have got individual foil containers for. My question is should I consruct them all but not do the final bake so they can be defrosted and then baked or should I cook them and then freeze so they can just be reheated.

This is more taxing than my pregnancy brain can cope with.

I've never made moussaka but for lasagne and stuff I'd probably cook it first then freeze. I don't know if you can do it the other way but that's just what I'd do. HTH!

I make batches of lasagne. I don't cook it first - other than when making the sauces.

By the time it's cooled the pasta has softened anyway, just freeze it. I then defrost and pop in oven. No problems.

That's useful to know - I won't bother cooking it first from now on.
