Christmas Puddings in the Aga

I've got 4 Christmas puddings I need to steam for 8 bloody hours tomorrow. Anyone know if I can steam them in the Aga? And at what temp? I was thinking along the lines of in a bain marie 1/2 full of boiling water, covered, at a low temp. What do you think?

I would think you could. You just need to make sure that you check the water level often enough to stop it boiling dry.
