Just opened two seperate packs of broccoli from tesco (the ones in sealed cling-film type wrapping) and both packs have got little green caterpillars crawling around in them

Is it worth complaining - if so where do I complain to?

probably not. that's why you should wash fruit and veg! i don't think there's much they can do to stop caterpillars etc from getting on vegetables.

aside from spraying heavily with pesticides. I'd prefer the caterpilalrs myself!

thank you zephyrcat - I have just cooked and fed to my DSs a pack of that brocolli - probably bought in the same Tescos as you!

Take them back to the shop and they will be horrified and give you a replacement and a refund and probably some vouchers to stop you going to the local paper

That's what I thought. Haver thrown it all away now though as there's one caterpillar with mould-like stuff over it (like it's tried to build a coccoon on the cling film!) and there's manky yellow stuff that looks like eggs. Nice....not!!!

Oh no!! It wasn't from the big Bursledon Tesco, it was from the Bitterne garage

You wouldn't last very long in the Jungle with Carol Thatcher would you

Guess - tou'd rather tight-rope across a ravine - rather than eat the witchey grub

Tommy · 03/01/2006 17:38

I would still tell them next time you are in although the customer service might not be so good in the garage one

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 03/01/2006 17:42
