Chocolate icing question

I'm making a cake where the icing is made with melted butter and melted chocolate mixed together. However, I'm using margarine instead of butter as I'm intolerant to dairy.

Will the icing be vile if I use marg instead, and if so, is there a good alternative way to make the icing? Just plain melted chocolate perhaps?

The cake is quite rich (ground almonds instead of flour) but tastes very much of dark chocolate (I'm more of a milk chocolate fan - or would be if I could eat it).
