Pork Belly Slices?

Any got any good recipes? Or can advise best way to cook them?

Thinking something sticky and sweet, maybe chinesey with rice?

Or mash and onion gravy with veg of choice. Make sure you cook them slowly though so they go all melty....

chucked some in the slow cooker the other day with stock,toms,onions (lots of as yummy) & tons of cooking apples from allotement to use up,dh raved I scoffed,job done :o

I have made this rasamalaysia.com/pork-belly-recipe-siu-yuk/2/. Very easy and it doesn't take hours in the oven. Wonderfully moist with crispy skin. Just watch out with the splashing fat in the pan. Well worth it.

This is exactly what you are thinking of: get a jar of hoi-sin sauce (from a Chinese supermarket if you can - it's a paste not a cooki-in sauce)
Take a couple of big tbsp, add some lime juice, soy sauce, ground ginger, mix well - chilli sauce too if you like, all v much by eye/to your taste
Spread all over the belly slices. Cook in a 180 deg oven on a wire rack for about 40 mins, or maybe more, then turn up to 220 for another 15.
Best served in shallow bowls, on top of plain rice and stir-fried greens, sliced into 1" cubes.:)
