Can you freeze mozzarella? The ones in the liquid filled packets?

And if you can, should they just be chucked in or emptied from their liquidy sack??

I freeze grated mozzarella, but it's the rubbish ready grated stuff rather than the stuff in liquid. I think if you froze them without the liquid, they would be fine as long as you were going to cook with them as they would probably lose their nice texture. So ok for pizza or metled into pasta but no good for a salad.
