Im making haddock fishcakes

It says to boil the potatoes, put the fish (uncooked i think, doesnt say cooked) and all other stuff in a bowl then grate the potato in and make into fishcakes.

Do you think the fish will cook in the oven when i do the fishcakes and that im not supposed to pre cook it?

Also do you think i can make them this afternoon and put them in the fridge til later?

Thanks Smile

I usually put the fish in a bit of milk and put it in the microwave for a few minutes until it's cooked through, then I add some of the milk to the potato and mash it, easier than grating hot mushy potato! Don't add too much of the milk though, you don't want it to be too wet. It's fine to put it in the fridge or freezer before frying, but don't reheat it a third time, just cook them as you need them.

Put it in a bowl and just cover it with milk. As you'll be mashing it up into fish cakes you can chop it into pieces. Skin it first. Put it in for a couple of minutes, then check if it's cooked through, if not bung it in for a few more.
