Is it glass or pyrex? No, can't go in freezer, will crack when defrosts. I would portion it up in bags if not enough tupperware tubs.

we always freeze chilli, bolognese, cheese sauces in freezer bags

I've never had any problem freezing in Pyrex or similar freezer-safe glass or ceramic, nor in metal, but always let it defrost very slowly (eg in fridge) before re-heating. But then, of course, your pan is unavailable.

What about freezing in bags that sit in a Tupperware, so that they freeze in stackable cuboid shapes, then removing the tupperwares?

Pyrex can be frozen!
