I have coveted one of these for a long long time,dm would never hand hers over so we have not ever had one

anyway to cut a tale of woe short, qvc are doing one on their deal of the day thingy with extra bits for £378 & you can pay it over 3 mnths, making it more accesible to us

so to all that have them do you use yours often enough to justify the cost of one or am I just lusting after something we will not get enough use out of

We do cook a lot & dh loves to bake when he has the time

so....................please tell me before I potentially buy a white elephant for the kitchen

oh I want one! can you pick a colour though?

Thehusbandsatcricketagain · 04/11/2011 17:50

no mumatron I think you can only have the cream colour one, which does not bother me as would rather have something that can fit with any kitchen colour

They are bloody brilliant. I have done mashed potato in mine today, followed by cake.

turningvioletviolet · 04/11/2011 18:55

i got one a few years ago (dh had completed a certain number of years at work and could choose something from a catalogue otherwise would have been well out of our price range). It's fab - i must use it at least once a week, cakes, icing come out brilliantly, and my meringues have never been so good. Oh and it makes good dough as well. If you bake a lot it's well worth it - you won't regret it!

mumatron · 04/11/2011 19:49

I'm so tempted to treat myself!

I really wanted a coloured one though.

I'm always baking so it really would get used all the time.

decisions, decisions.............

oi use mine tons

our local nice cookshop is selling the green one for £358 plus free glass bowl atm, and the red one for a £378 plus bowl

Thehusbandsatcricketagain · 04/11/2011 20:01

hhhmmmm it seems between the thread here, the thread on chat & my sil replying on fb that the general consensus is they are great & I should invest in one immediately

oooohh a red one!

Mominatrix · 06/11/2011 19:49

Yup - worth it, but I bake quite a bit and have attachments which make it even more handy. Plus, it is aesthetically a work of art so a pleasure to look at.
