inspire me

Have it grated with mustard and mayo in summer, but wan something warming for winter. DS1 loves soup, and likes spicy things, i like food in genera. Something quick preferably as DS2 feeds constantly and haven't worked out how to feed in a sling

And go!

I use it with potatoes - mashed together - on top of a shepherds pie or with anything you'd have mash with. Makes it a bit spicier also is free on WW points!

Or it's great in soup.

celeriac and parsnip bake is delicious - make a batch then freeze in portions ready to bung in the oven - lovely with sausages, roasts, casseroles - anything really. I don't bother including cream in it or the nutmeg, but just use some mixed spice instead.

Making a batch of cottage pie for the freezer tomorrow, so could out some in the mash and hope DH doesn't notice. He's very traditionalist when it comes to cottage pie. Nearly had a heart attack when I suggested we cut green beans up into it

Bake sounds good, though would have to walk back to shop for parsnips and can't be arsed. Will make a mental note

I like it for soup - I just saute with onion and a carrot for a bit, add stock and simmer until soft. Blitz it up and then add anything it needs to pep it up - pepper, salt (I often use celery salt for a bit more flavour). a bit of cream or creme fraiche in to serve.

Its niced topped with a few drops of truffle oil. Or we will fry up some bits of chorizo with cubes of bread for croutons (the bread absorbs the lovely oil from the chorizo)

Celeriac and chorizo sounds good, and DS would definitely like that. Might have to venture out to the shops, or get DH to get some on the way home. Thanks
