In greengrocers today, was distracted by DD2 screaming, told DD1 to choose herself a piece of fruit for lunch. I thought she had picked an orange.
Just unpacked bags, and it is certainly not an orange! It looks like a large, underripe tomato and it has a circle of dry-looking brownish-grey leaves on the top.
Is it a fruit? How do we eat it? It is quite firm - not yet ripe?? DD is impatient to bite into it, am holding her back pending positive identification; what on earth is it??
