How often do you all eat meals together as a family at a table?

I am interested in what everybody else does - we really try as a family to eat together at the same time at the dining room table, but occasionally my little one will be shattered after pre school and want his tea early at 4pm for example; What does everyone else do?

Weekends only. Dd and I normally get in about 6pm. She has a 3 course lunch at school (Belgium) then a snack of fruit/biscuit/drink at 4pm. She normally has something quite light in the evening - sandwich, hot dog, omelette, beans on toast, followed by yoghurt/fruit. DH gets in 7ish. We normally eat when dd has gone to bed - so about 8.30.

breakfast together every day
lunch together (on weekends)
Evening meal together 4-5 nights out of 7 but that has increased since the boys got older.

It's tough isn't it. As every day is different with over time etc, but I think as often as possible is great. Nothing better than having a lovely chat with family for half hour in the evening!

Probably 4 evenings midweek usually 6.30ish. Never all breakfast together as DH is long gone before we get up. Saturday night is slumming in it front of Strictly at the minute.

A couple times on the weekend, usually high tea (aka kids' dinner) and a sunday breakfast with pancakes or something special.
During the week ds is in bed by 7.30 and MrNC gets home between 8 and 8.30, so not an option. Or ds is in nursery so only has a snack when he gets home by 6.30.

I guess when children are older it's easier. Christmas period and holidays are nice as then we eat together a lot more, though there's an element of us having a small bite with kids and then proper meal after they're in bed.

Grin at Mrs DTK's husband peddling madly to get home in time for Tea!

Every morning though we are not always eating at the same time and I only drink tea and potter, but we do sit down together.
We try to eat at the table together on week nights, but if DH is really late home then it's just DC and me. On Wednesdays DC go to PIL for tea so DH and I have a late supper about 9:30 in front of Sky plussed Shameless!
On Saturdays it depends what we are doing if we've been out late then it's in front of TV burp but if we have had a day at home then we sit at the table.
Sundays we all eat together as well.

DS and I eat breakfast together at the table daily. We all eat lunch together at the weekends, and usually have at least one dinner at the weekend together.
DP and I work full time so DS is at nursery until 5pm during the week. He has lunch and tea there so doesn't need another meal when he gets in. He has a snack and DP often eats dinner at the same time, depending on what our evening plans are.

DP and I frequently eat dinner in front of the telly - DS never has. DS loves us all eating together, it's his favourite thing about the weekend!
