As uber-mother incarnate I made fresh stock yesterday with bones from our butcher..

so now I have some lovely lamb stock and absolutely no idea what to do with it

Suzy, was the name you can't repeat n***s in a blanket? Seem to recall coming across that one somewhere (in a very old book, probably). Even my gran wouldn't have used that name!

I've no idea what it the dish was but was rather startled to come across it originally. Had no idea there was a 'shirt' variant.

Bit like the Agatha Christie story that was orginally called Ten Little XXX (word that is completely unacceptable unless said in a 'reclaimed' sense and I'm not qualified to reclaim it) and then was Ten Little Indians and then when that became unacceptable became And Then There Were None.

Cadbury Schweppes have been a shareholder for a few years and I think they have now bought out the other shareholders.

am not envious Cam .. as we have Hope & Greenwoods (olde fashioned sweetie shoppe .. with jars of sweets behind the counter and hand-made chocolate on top .. and they all dress like 50's people )
