I asked the butcher what's her fave slow cooked cheap cut and she recommended beef shin. It was delicious.

What's your fave cheap cut to sling in the slow cooker?

SquigglePigs · 01/11/2011 09:54

Brisket definitely - with a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale!

Beef skirt.

Oxtail or lamb neck. Yum.

We buy all our meat at a farm shop and the farmer says he often doesn't eve get those things back from the abbatoir, they just go walkies. When he does have them he chucks them in for us for buggar all money. The stew you make form oxtail is just divine.
