Cocktail party - need inspiration - what's your favourite cocktail?

Doing a cocktail party on New Year's Eve - need inspiration - what's your favourite cocktail??? Advice and tips would be much appreciated!

i love cheeky vimto, not so much a cocktail as a concoction. 2 shots port 1 small bottle blue wkd and lots of ice yummy

mojitos (both vodka and rum ones)

vodka sour (can't remember what goes into it but google it, it's lovely and lemony)

oh hell. before this thread I posted on the AA thread. after NYE I will mend my ways...

Mojitos and Singapore Sling (yum)
1 oz gin
1/2 oz cherry brandy
4 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/4 oz Cointreau® orange liqueur
1/4 oz benedictine herbal liqueur
1/3 oz grenadine syrup
1 dash Angostura® bitters

Mojitos(nice, easy and refreshing)

3 fresh mint sprigs
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 oz light rum
club soda
Whiskey sour
2 oz blended whiskey
juice of 1/2 lemons
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon

ummm just definitely a Mojito yummy but nothing beats a good old Dark and Stormy, dark rum, good quality ginger beer and a squeeze of lime over ice.

oooh! cranberry juice, shot of vodka, shot of cointreau!

its lovely and after drinking them all night on New Year didn't feel too bad in the morn!
