help! ready made puff pastry

I've got a block of ready made puff pastry, it pat its use by- can i still use it? i mean, its been in the fridge and it not got meat in it to make it foul. what do you think?

I would - but maybe 6 months past may be dodgy - a few days will be fine.

its only two days but im paranoid that it smells a bit vinegary hich worries me a my own pastry never smells like that[hconfused]
