10" round madeira cake recipe please

I am making a 10" round cake for my ds 3rd b.day. Can anyone give me the measurements for a madeira cake? I was going to do 2 and sandwich them together.

Erm, is it a 3 egg sponge? Possibly 4 and chuck a bit of the mixture if there's too much?

(3/4 eggs, 6/8oz each sr flour, butter, sugar, tsp vanilla, tsp baking powder. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and flour gradually, Whack in flavouring with the last of the flour)
