Chocolate or cocoa/hot choc powder seems to be the big difference between recipes.

BBC good food suggests

Ingredients
250g/8oz digestive biscuits
150g/5oz milk chocolate
150g/5oz dark chocolate
100g/3½oz unsalted butter
150g/5oz golden syrup
100g/3½oz dried apricots, chopped
75g/2½oz raisins
60g/2oz pecans, chopped (optional)

But our very own mumsnet recipe has less choc but the addition of drinking choc and sugar...

Ingredients
225g digestive biscuits (crushed)
110g butter
4 tsp drinking chocolate
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tsp soft brown sugar
110g dark cooking chocolate

Can anybody tell me what their fool proof method is before I start? Thanks Smile

BBC recipe. Drinking chocolate is vile, if I used the mumsnet recipe I'd use proper cocoa instead.

the first one, wi' proper chocolate.

I've made it with chocolate. Preliminary tasting is proving popular.

Now it just needs to set

Torturous blardy recipe Grin
