What did I do wrong?

I have made DH a jelly in a pig shaped mould. After eventually getting it out it is not pig shaped and did not come out in a solid-ish shape. Surely it didn't need more time in the fridge?? (Had 6 hours ish).

Too much water?

too much liquid?
when I make jelly and need it to set quickly, I use half hot water to dissolve the jelly cubes or crystals and then top up with very cold water. Then I put in freezer for a bit to bring temp down even more.

Also to get out of mould without breaking up, I dip mould in hot water to loosen first

God I am so stupid. I was thinking how could I get hot water on the mould to loosen and didn't even think to dip it the way it had been in the fridge to loosen it. It is possible I had a smidgen of water too much.

DH just came home and he said it looks piggish so I will take that .
