OK so I forgot to buy stuff for DS lunch tomorrow and am going with the following - apple, banana, carrot (!), single cocktail sausage, breadstick, rice crispy cake, peanut butter sandwhich? Debating, should I put in a bakewell tart as well? school are a bit sniffy about "healthy" lunches

Yes but that's just wrong isn't it, or is that just me? I couldn't think of anything more vile than pouring lasagne out of a thermos flask Confused

Lol! Grin suppose it depends on a) how hungry you are? B) whats the alternative? I will wake the baby at this rate

I recall reading on another forum where a mother gave her child the wrong package from the fridge and instead of a sandwich she give her a block of cheese wrapped in foil and a cheese string as a treat. I laugh everytime I think of the child unwrapping it. Lol at the pea sandwich I can just imagine his face.

I once got so drunk on a night out that the next day I was so ill I told my DD to pack her own lunchbox as I was too busy throwing up to do it. I walked her to school clutching a plastic bag incase I got sick on the way and spent the rest of the day in bed. When I picked her up I said I was so sorry for how I was that morning and asked what she had made for her lunch - all she had taken was cheesy wotsit butties!!! I was mortified. God knows what the dinner ladies thought and I can't imagine what a cheesy wotsit butty tastes like!

I too have sent the wrong packet to school, picture ds opening foil package no tuna sandwhich but 5 slices of cooked ham. He did ask me on the way home why he had 'meat' for lunchGrin

I realise this thread is long dead (my laptop has died and I have not been back) but thought I'd say that the thermos for the liasgna is a shallow flask with a very wide lid, more like an insulated pot. i love lasagna but an feeling a bit sick at the thought of shaking it out of a proper thermos flask!

Sounds like a genius idea then Horopu now I can let this go
