Fresh chillies - with mouldy stems. WWYD?

I have a lovely big bag of fresh red chillies, my friend was given them but doesn't like chillies and thought she'd pass them on to me. But she was given them over a week ago and has left them in their plastic bag, and the stems are mouldy. I've thrown out a few that were actually furry, but all the rest seem fine except for the stalks.

Can I still use them? I'm not sure if they will be safe if I just pull out the stalks and dry the chillies, but I would hate to throw them all away. Sad

I would.

I'd chop off the stems plus about 1/2cm off the top and still use them, no visible mould and no bad smell means to good to eat in my opinion.

Right. I figured that as they were being dried they would be fine, but was a bit Hmm about the mould.

Will dry them and eat them and accidentally feed them to DH to watch him cry Grin
