sons been learning harvest and bread making was going to try and bake some with him at wkend. Im no Nigella so need a very simple recipe please anyone?

no good at linking but darina allen makes bread making easy!

oh, i also use my doagh hook on a handmixer with good success, saves on all the kneading and helps with lighter bread.

dont own a hand mixer!

Soda bread is usually easier to make than bread with yeast.

might give that a go if its easier.

Artisan bread is very simple. No kneading required or special equipment or bread tins etc. Just plop it on a tray after it has risen and cook. Tastes like a traditional loaf. I use this all the time to bake bread if guest are coming and we need it for soup etc.

Here is a recipe just scroll down the page a bit to see the instructions. Putting a bit of water in a tray in the oven to create steam gives it the crusty top.
