Baking with frozen berries

Can you just bake from frozen? I assume this would be OK with a cake, but how about muffins - would they need to be defrosted first? Am mostly thinking of blackberries and raspberries here.

No, pop them in frozen - blueberries are also good this way!

You don't have to defrost frozen fruit when using in cakes, muffins or pies.

No, don't defrost, use them frozen. Allow a couple of extr minutes cooking time. If you defrost them they go all mushy and loose their shape.
