How long will a fairy cake last for?

I know I should know, but.. a friend made my DS some lovely gluten and dairy free fairy cakes last week, but he was ill so couldn't eat them until now.

They were made Tuesday or Wednesday. Are they past their best now? They have some icing on if that makes a difference.

TIA

So that makes them a week old,are they going green yet?! Seriously i am a bit paranoid with food so i would bin them

normal sponge cakes go stale after a few days, taste one and see if it tastes ok

I was a bit worried, but DH thought they looked OK, and they are still moist rather than stale.

I'm a bin at any thought of dodginess person, so I think they might have to go the same way. What a shame.
