Silicone bakeware - what's the point?

I have just bought x2 silicone cupcake trays but am not sure what to do with them. The holes are too small for cases, so do I pop the cakes in the cases after? Or not use cases at all? If so, how do I make them look prwtty? Why is silicone suddenly so popular? I am Confused

I think you are supposed to cook them without cases. Known in our house as "Cooking in a Condom"!

Yup, no need to use cases.

Remember to NOT wash silicon bakeware in the d/washer. You can, but it will end up smelling rank.
