will I still get a freerange or organic turkey?

I didn't order one, thinking it'd be ok and I can just pick one up at Waitrose or M&S - don't need a huge bird, something big enough for 6 + leftovers. So I was a bit alarmed to read in the paper that all the shops are sold out?! Someone please reassure me and report turkey sightings at their local supermarkets!

Try your local butcher - you might have more luck.

is it too late to order one?

BellaLasagne · 21/12/2005 11:11

I bought a small free range turkey at my local Waitrose yesterday (to feed 4 + leftovers for Boxing Day), cost £17. M&S had them in too. I'd get out there and get on with it if I were you!

My local butchers (x3) had closed their order books so I'd stick with the supermarkets.

Good luck!

ok thanks, rang a local butcher's and ordered a free-ranger! Phew! Serves me right for leaving it late.

I've just been to Sainsburys and Waitrose and they had loads.
