how do I weigh 2oz of syrup?

what does 2oz of syrup equate to in tablespoons or ml? I am not sure how I can weigh syrup but my recipe asks for 2oz ?

I usually guess (most recipes it's not too crucial re exact weights...) but I go on I tbs = about an ounce I reckon (warm the tablespoon first in boiling water and then the syrup slides off easier.)

Or you could put the tin on the scales and then spoon out enough to make it 2oz less; or put the mixing bowl on the scales and using the warm spoon, add enough to make the weight 2oz more.

I put the mixing bowl on the scales.
