Our lovely neighbours and various people keep giving us apples from their trees... they're lovely and I love accepting them but would appreciate any ideas for using them beyond the usual apple pie , apple sponge, apple crumble, apple muffins, apple cake, apple sauce, apple jacks.... anyone know any ways to use apples in savour recipes? I have a mix of cookers and eaters

Apple jam is a great way to preserve them. I've been making lots of it this year.

I'd cook them up as if for a crumble or pie and freeze.

Pork goes well with apples. You can add them to toad in the hole, make apple sauce to go with roast pork or cook pork chops/steaks and add apple chunks to the dish.
