How far in advance can I make pizza dough?

I start mine about an hour before baking.

If I need to make it earlier, I let it prove in the fridge and then take it about about 30 minutes before rolling it out.

I would only make it in advance if I needed it straight after getting in from work, or if I want to save some for another day.

If I wanted to bake it at 9pm, and was in the house, I would make it at 8pm. I use my Kenwood with dough hook so it only takes about 10 minutes preparation.
