What would you pay for a 8" (more like 10" when iced) rich, boozy quality Christmas cake.

Nothing! It would never be as nice as your own, home baked one IMO. I always find a bought Christmas Cake rather lightweight, and certainly not worth what you pay for it.

Iced and marzipanned? I have a small cake business from home and would probably charge about £35 - 40 depending on what it was decorated with. I'm up north tho so everything is a bit cheaper up here ;)
