I was v surprised that the most popular item at my 3yo's party recently was popcorn. Great for the gluten free kids too.

Buffet style????

sandwiches:-
ham
jam
cheese
marmite

carrot sticks
cucumber sticks
assorted pepper sticks
cherry tomatos
grapes
raisens

cold chicken nuggets
cold pizza slices
mini sausages
sausage rolls

cheese sticks
yoghurts
jellies
assorted crisps
assorted cakes / biscuits (jammy dodgers / party rings etc)

Top hats. melt a bit of chocolate, pour about 2 mm into the botm of cake cases, stick a marshmellow in and a smartie on top. leave to set. really easy and always go down a treat!

Pizza slices if you have a cooker on site
Enormous quantities of cocktail sausages unless you have a significant number of Muslim/Jewish attendees
Home made popcorn (and perhaps Nigellas party popcorn for the grown ups)

Big tubs of flapjack bites etc from the supermarket - normally there's some kind of bulk buy offer in the bakery aisle.
