What's the verdict?

I used one today and it was alright actually, but I can't help but feel that there's a way to do it myself without buying their little bag and spices. I'd need a recipe though, i'm not good brave enough to wing it.

All you need to do is season the chicken pieces.... one of those commerical 'rubs' or 'BBQ season-all' mixes is fine or even just salt, pepper and dried herbs.... and then place them in a loose parcel of foil that is pinched sealed around the edges. Place the foil parcel on a baking tray, get the oven to about 180C and bake for about 30-40 mins, depending on the size of the pieces. (Boneless chicken breasts don't take as long as bone-in legs) The chicken will cook in its own fat and steam and stay very moist. If the pieces are skin-on, at the end of the cooking time, open the foil and bake for another 5 minutes so that any skin can brown up.

Hey, thanks for your thoughts. The seasoning was really quite nice and i'm not sure I could recreate that.
