Slow cooker food poisoning question!

Put a load of chopped up pots in slow cooker this morning then put raw chicken on top plus stock. It has been cooking on low for 10 hours but it is best not to eat pots?

I think that this is the point of slow cooking. It all goes in together and you eat the whole lot. (although I am not an expert so perhaps wait for a 2nd opinion!)

it will all be cooked by now!

do try and use some more exciting ingredients next time though, you might get something tasty.

Oh I know catsmamma but I decided last minute to do it and had nothing to put in except this (and I would have no idea where to start with herbs and spices even though I have a cupboard full of the damn things!).

Cool that saves me wasting those potatoes and cooking a load more!

Huh? Of course it's fine. Food is safe if it has reached a core temperature of 60 degrees for a certain length of time.

10 hours you'll be totally safe. From a taste pov, you,ll find it's prob a bit too long though.
